Pray for Pops

Eric's grandad is in the hospital for breathing troubles, so I ask each of you that read this to please lift him up in your prayers to help him not grow weary and believe in the Lord that he will take care of him. Whether he gets to go meet our Lord and Savior or if he recovers whatever is Gods will let it be done. He has been in the hospital for most of this month and the prognosis is not looking great. We all have been praying and will continue too.

Someone is 3 today!

M. is 3 years old today!! Yeah!! She had a wonderful birthday party on Saturday but today is her actual birthday.
Her and A. actually went to the Dr today for their well checks. And M. weighs 31 lbs and is 37 inches long. She got one shot today but didn't even cry. We are going to McD tonight to celebrate her birthday and how good she was at her doctor appt.

A. also got shots today but she got 3. Its a lot but better than 4 like normal. She did really well also and hardly cried at all. A. weighs 17 lbs 8 oz and is 27 1/4 inches long... She is a big girl.

Both girls got a clean bill of health and we couldn't be more thankful as this is the heightened time for being sick.

Will post some pictures from the weekend. However I am not a very good mom and I didnt take any pictures of the party just afterwards. I know, what a ding bat!

Girls

Sorry I havent posted in a couple of days. However my mom came up to stay with us for a little while to help me get ready for M.'s party. I cannot believe it is this weekend. Seems like yesterday was Christmas. Oh well, time sure does fly by. Yesterday we had a milestone day for A. She stayed on her hands and knees for about 30 seconds. Which I thought was pretty remarkable. I captured it on camera so I will post that picture.

Here are the girls yesterday.

Updates

Well this week marks M.'s third birthday party celebration. It shall be fun. I will post some pictures when we get them.
Eric, did GREAT this weekend at church. It was amazing to see people in the audience tapping their feet and hands to the beat that he was creating. It truly made the worshipping experience that much better. Great job baby, I am so proud of you.
Girls are doing well. M is getting ready for her Dora party and A is still trying to cut her second round of teeth that are taking forever to come in.

Uncle Marty

My uncle passed away this past year, which was a shock and surprise to the entire family. He was that type of person you wanted to be around as well as emulate. He was funny, warm, caring and loving just to name a few of his wonderful qualities. I didn't know this until recently, but his lovely wife, Aunt M., would say that when she saw or sees a red cardinal she thinks of him. My mother has experienced and says the same things as well. Well, ever since we have moved to our new home a red cardinal comes by frequently. I mean like everyday I see this one. I often think that my uncle whom I loved dearly is here with me in spirit. I decided to take a picture of the cardinal and wanted to share him with you all.
M,A,M, and C i love you each very much. This one is for you dad!

Milestone Night!

A. slept through the WHOLE night! Yeah for the first time she slept from 9:30 to 5:30. Amazing....she is doing really well, however is struggling with her next set of teeth coming in. Other than that we are doing great.... she eats 3 times a day and is starting to keep her schedule during the day as well as night! Yeah.... I love being at home with the girls. Such an amazing time in our life!

This weekend

Some ice that was on our trees this weekend. We got to spend a lot of time as a family together this weekend. What a great weekend it was.

Wanted to post a cute picture of A and her daddy playing the drums together. E has been practicing for his debut this weekend playing at the church. We are so proud of him and look forward to hearing him use his God given talent.

Also I would like to say Congratulations to K and L L. who welcomed their first daughter S. D. on Sunday at 9:08 am. Last I heard mom and baby were doing well. I am so happy for her and pray that their first month goes smoothly!

Well, I am so excited to say that I got my Christmas present today. I am so excited, Eric gave me a gym membership and I am completely looking forward to taking full advantage of it! Yeah. I am going to take a before and after picture to see the difference. My goal is to loose 20 lbs as well as get my pre-baby body back. I will let you all know how this progresses. I am completely motivated and I hope that by telling readers about what I am going through that it will keep me excited and pumped about working out again. However once I meet my goal that hard part I think is maintaining! Will have to get my mind rapped around that one! Pray for me!

Correction for the last post...

What I said on the last post is kinda hard to read. So I figured I would retype what I said below.

Here is the "fort" Melody made for her sister. Isn't she a doll! They are seen here playing with one another and enjoying their toys.

Sorry for my oversight! Rookie Mistake!

I thought this was a funny picture of Kacey....

Averys Milestone

Well A. has hit another milestone. She turned 6 months old on the 8th. I know I am a little late posting this news but at least I took a photo! Glad I remembered at least to do that. Here is a photo of her in her bath on her 1/2 mark. She is doing remarkably well and is such a joy to be around. I mean look at that smile, is it not contagous?

Family updates.

Well this has been an exciting week all the way around... First some good news... A. has cut her first two teeth. Yes, she started cutting her first one on or about her 5th month and at around Christmas her 2nd tooth broke through. She is doing great and completely loves solid foods. She gets so mad at you if you eat and do not feed her anything. It is actually quite funny. She is getting so big and sleeping great. The above is my attempt to show you the two teeth... I know I have some photography learning to do. I will try to post a better picture so you can actually see those teeth!

Secondly, M. turns 3 in a couple of day on Jan 30. I can not believe it, seems like yesterday she was a baby. She now runs around the house and totally entertains her daddy and I. She is just a hoot and has some of the funniest sayings. She is going to be having a Dora party for her birthday as she loves Dora completely. It is truly amazing how much a kid can like a cartoon character. Oh well at least she can learn some proper Spanish, and not what her mother says. ( I know some of y'all will get that.)(Karenese?)

Eric is doing great at his job. He also is joining our church worship team as there drummer. I am so proud of him and know he will do a great job. His first performance is Jan 17, 2007. I can not wait to hear him play while worshiping the Lord. I think that will only enhance the service. We feel like we have found a church home in Fellowship of the Parks church here in FW. Really excited and happy to have found somewhere we can worship.

Me, I am same old Karen. Nothing really new going on. Just loving being a mother to my two fabulous children and cooking. It is such a fun thing for me to do. I truly do enjoy it and am loving cooking with all the new Christmas pots and pans I got. I feel truly blessed to be able to stay at home and cook for the family. Praise the Lord for he is good.

Well I think that is about it for now. Will post later.. Will try to put up some more pics of the family.

Here is a family picture of us at our church service. It was a wonderful experience which we enjoyed tremendously.
We hope all had a wonderful and safe Christmas and Happy New Year!
