Busy weekend!

Well our weekend started off with a bang! We got invited, graciously invited to Medival Times by T and K C. We had such a great time, catching up with them and watching all those beautiful horses!

Then it was off to Nana and Poppy's house to drop the kiddos off for a sleep over while mommy and daddy had a night on the town.

We got back to FW and went out with some of E.'s co- workers! What a blast we had. Wonderful food, company and good times.

Then on Sunday, I was up at FOTP early selling cookbooks, then going to service, then watching the 3 year olds. Whew, I was worn out. But the weekend was over yet.

We then drove to Rockwall to get the girls, and ended up eating dinner at the County Line right there off of Lake Ray Hubbard! It was awesome. Thank you Nana and Poppy for watching the girls!

Yeah... New car!

Yeah, here is my new car! I am soooo excited about her. It was a little sad saying bye bye to Red yesterday but my new car is just so pretty. Or at least I think she is....

We went into Madisonville yesterday to get her and drove back yesterday as well. The girls did fabulous in the trip down and up! It was a long day for them.

Thanks Dad for meeting me in town there and helping me yesterday! And thanks E for believing in me and trusting my instincts! I love you!

Daddys Birthday!

On July 24th E turned 31! It was a fun evening at a new Mexican food restaurant! Happy birthday honey! We love you!

Hard working men!

This weekend we had my Dad come up to help E pour a concrete slab for a soon to be spa. They did an excellent job and it really does look great. Thank you Dad and E for working so hard to get it done so quickly. Here are some pictures of them working and the finished project! It took 25 bags of concrete, which these guys did by hand! Pretty awesome!

One morning I took some pictures of the girls as there daddy was leaving.... normally this event takes about 3-5 mins but this morning daddy was not getting out of here under 10 mins...

Both girls love their daddy so much and are incredibly sad when he leaves...Here are some sweet photos of them...

Past weekend.. family pics...

Since E.'s sister is in town, we all got together and had a family portrait made for all of us. It has been about 3.5 years since our last one so it was about time. There actually have been 5 grand babies added in that short amount of time! I don't have any of the actual family together.. so in my next post I will put the pictures in a slide.... does anyone know how to add a slide in an existing post? if so please advise....

When we were at the doctors office for AG's appt., we actually got Mel's ears pierced! That's right! Yippee.... It is the cutest thing in the world to see her with little earrings in her sweet ears.... here are a couple of pics...

Well since it was AG's birthday she had to go to the Dr. She is doing great and is 20 lbs and 14 ozs and is 30.5 inches long. So needless to say she is growing like a weed and is just so much fun to be around.
She is completely walking on her own and is ready for any adventure that comes her way...

Well today starts M. learning how to swim.... Yeah... She has totally been looking forward to today! She did great today in the pool! We are so proud of here... here are some pictures and then a slide show... of course!

We celebrated AG's birthday by going to Hughes Springs, Tx for a family reunion yesterday! We had a great time driving up there and it was fun to be with some of her cousins.. I will post a slide show as there are a lot of pics..

Since we had one whole side of the family together, we decided to do A.G.'s first birthday party then! It was 4 days early, but it just made since as we do not live close to the rest of the family.
I made AG some cupcakes for her birthday party. They looked really good!

July 4th fun pics..

July 4th in Rockwall

As a family rule, we go and spend July 4th with E.'s family. Generally we spend it by the pool at the country club his dad belongs too. It is an all day event, which includes hours of swimming, diving, eating, drinking lovely margaritas, and then a spectacular fireworks show. Also the kiddos get to ride animals, pet goats and jump in jump houses till they get sick! Did I mention the food? Oh it is so glorious the spread that they put on. Just makes me hungry thinking about it.
Unfortunately that didn't happen this year. With all this rain and craziness, Plan B was calling into action. The entire family and that is, 17 people, went to my mother and father in laws home. They graciously smoked a brisket for us and made all the fixings. Boy,was it delicious.
We did end up swimming a little bit, and shoot some fireworks off ourselves, which was a great time.
I have posted before how great it is to have family around and that thought still stands true.
My brother and sister in law and their three children are in from San Diego, CA . What great memories we all are creating with family.
